  1. How exciting! Please tell me more about the ropes and caves (around 1:36). What were you shining your flashlights on?

    • That’s a cave just outside of Vang Vieng in Laos. Companies take you to the cave entrance where they guide you through almost 100 meters of darkness. It felt like we were inside a sanctuary at some points with stalactites dripping down but it was also kind of creepy having bats chirping right above us with only a small light to shine on them.

      You should read about Ko Muk though! That’s the other cave highlighted in this video. You go to an island that’s surrounded by walls and a small cave is the only way to get inside. You swim through hundreds of feet in darkness to reach a secluded beach that’s completely enclosed by the island. That was nothing short of amazing!
