About

Just months ago, I was at one of the largest crossroads of my young adult life.  I had to make a choice that would affect me for years to come and I did not take that decision lightly.  I had to choose between a life of financial comfort and a life of freedom.  A dear friend of mine offered these words of advice in one of our many conversations.

Paddle Faster!  Break free of tradition and carve your own path.  Be the envy of all and the one who depends on nothing more than your own free will.  “Plant your own garden; decorate your own soul, instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.”  -Veronica A. Shoffstall

This blog is devoted to cataloging my journeys around the world.  I do this for two reasons; the first of which is for my own personal pleasure and to catalog the important events of my life.  The second reason, and the more important one, is to inspire others to break free of self imposed and societal constraints to live out their dreams and pursue their passions.  Remember, you make a decision every day to be in the position you are in.  Ask yourself, is it one you want to be in?

Thanks for reading!  Please feel free to leave feedback or just say hi!

    • Hello and thank you for giving my thoughts some of your time.

I apologize for being inactive recently. However, I think after reading your comment I have the fire I need to get my head back in the game. More coming soon!

A dear friend inspires you to achieve what’s in YOUR best interest, which may not be the best interest of the world. It’s your interest in the world that will inspire others to create a new one for themselves, starting with your dear friend.

    • I can only hope to inspire the world to pursue passions rather than paychecks. If I’ve truly made an impact on this friend of mine, I’ll operate with a new understanding that what I’m attempting to do here is truly worthwhile…

    • Perhaps I can someday be as well traveled as you and many of the other bloggers I am following. I will look to you for guidance and from what I’ve seen so far, you have very much to offer.
